Local Chapters are meant to provide an opportunity for a community of believers to come alongside one another in therapy dog ministry serving the local community, and supporting one another’s spiritual, worship, learning, discipleship, and fellowship needs.

There is no maximum, but when chapters become too large, administration can become too unwieldy, so a dialogue is started about establishing additional chapter(s).
Yes, please be encouraged to make as many visits as you can sustain. The key is consistency when the visits are scheduled to be recurring. For this reason, we hope that a backup can attend if you or your dog encounters difficulty in meeting the facility or program’s needs.
No, not all chapter-coordinated visits may fit your schedule or your pup’s temperament. If recurring visits, only commit to those visits you can consistently attend. If non-recurring, again, be sure your schedule permits. In either case, don’t try to force a visit that doesn’t mesh with your dog’s interests and comfort.
Step 1: Contact the Local Chapter Program Director to discuss geographic scope and chapter name.
Step 2: Review and execute a Letter of Agreement (provided upon request).
Step 3: Discuss with the Local Chapter Program Director the prospective chapter members, and your hopes for the chapter.
Step 4: Solicit the interest in joining from the prospective members of the chapter.
Step 5: Provide an official roster to the Local Chapter Program Director.
Step 6: The Local Chapter Program Director sends you a Chapter Certificate.
