The leadership of Canines for Christ Ministry would like to offer you the opportunity to obtain a Certificate of Chaplaincy with Canines for Christ. The Chaplain designation will open many new doors for you to minister to people as they will view you in a different way as you reach out to them in Christ’s name.
If you are Interested, the Following are the Requirements:
1) Be an Active C4C Member
2) Complete 50 Community Visits and submit via Track it Forward
3) Complete the introduction along with the first two modules (days 1-10 and days 11-20) of the Introduction to Chaplaincy course through the Christian Leaders Institute. Each module ends with an exam. Please screenshot the final result after you have taken it and include with Chaplain application.
4) Complete the Chaplain Application
5) Attest to the Code of Conduct (Print the Last Page, Sign It, Return with Application)
6) Submit your $100 Payment HERE
Additional Items:
1) Complete Background Check - will be sent to you via email once Chaplain Application is received.
2) Phone Interview with Board Member.
3) Agree to become a Care Partner for four to six individual volunteers if not serving in a local chapter. If in a local chapter will provide prayer and spiritual support to local chapter volunteers.
Once you have completed these requirements, please submit all documents to Chaplain Jill Powell at jill@canines4christ.org.
Approved C4C Chaplains will receive a Certificate of Chaplaincy, C4C Chaplain Badge, Chaplain business cards, Chaplain C4C Hat, Chaplain Polo Shirt (Black), and Car Magnet.
You do not have to leave your community to be a Chaplain. There are many opportunities to serve just where you are! I urge you to pray that God will lead you to be a Chaplain and that you will have the opportunity to lead many into His Kingdom.

*For C4C Chaplains ONLY - Once you are an active Chaplain with C4C several on-going training opportunities will be offered via Zoom. You are required to attend at least one of these trainings annually to remain an active C4C Chaplain* Effective 01/01/2025
