Using ordinary people and their beloved dogs to share God’s message…

Using ordinary people and their beloved dogs to share God’s message of love, hope, kindness, and compassion…

Are you seeking security? Are you afraid of the future?
Squirrels have a ceaseless need to keep gathering and storing foods. How many of us are that way, incessantly storing for a rainy day? There is nothing wrong to prepare for the future, but if we think security comes from what we have in the bank, the pantry, in material things or the 401k and investment portfolio, we will end up worse than disappointed. The only security is in the Living God. “He is our refuge and strength”, as Psalm 46 says, so we don’t need to be afraid, even when our circumstances look dire- no trouble on Earth, loss of a job, outbreak of war, the illness in the family, persecution- can change the fact that the Lord reigns over all creation. He is sovereign. Life may not work out exactly the way we think it should and we may have to face the fact that we are not in control. But the even better truth is that God is. When the hard times come, remember that God made you, He loves you, He has a plan for your life and He is preparing a future beyond your wildest expectations. Psalm 46: 1-2 says “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble, so we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.”
We can learn from these little animals that storing up for the future is not bad, but trusting and having faith in Jesus will bring you more security and peace than you could ever hope for in this life. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-7.

These are a few photos I took of some of the volunteers with Cowboy!

A passing thought…..
Martin Luther said: ” The dog is the most faithful of animals and would be much esteemed if they were not so common.” Our Lord made His greatest gift the commonest….I believe that God has given us a model of walking, breathing grace in these amazing creatures. They are the best of friends and when you are hurting, they are always there….not all knowing, not awkwardly fumbling for words…simply presence…..Canines for Christ is a “ministry of presence”…God’s presence is with you as you reach out to someone in need today with God’s love.
The annual renewal fee of $35 is due for 2018. Please send a check to C4C to continue supporting this amazing ministry that reaches thousands for Jesus. Checks can be sent to PO Box 28, Lutz, FL 33548 or go towww.k9forchrist.org and click on the DONATE link. Thank you!!www.k9forchrist
